Coming Soon!

Many self-proclaimed "open-minded" people are terrified of religion. I will tell you why this is so and why they will burn in Hell for it. No, I mean why they are depriving themselves of a rich intellectual adventure.

Cheers and Good Mental Health you Godless Scum. You Heathen Wretches. You Foul and Vulgar Heretics.

I'm hunching here, but have you recently read Thomas Cahill's Hinges of History?

I have not recently read "Hinges of History" and to be honest, I have never read it in the distant past either. Perhaps I will pick it up, wander into the middle distance, and read it there, safely.

I Googled some reviews of his books. He seems to be somewhat of a discontemporalist. I approve of Irish literature and of Greek technology so we have this in common. The ancient Irish are fascinating. Did you know the Stone of Scone was brought to Ireland by Jesus Christ's daughter Sarah? She came via France with legions of Rome hot on her Holy tail. This is why Caesar et al were so preoccupied trying to invade Scotland and Ireland which were otherwise useless countries. Other than a series of raids, they were unsuccessful in wiping out a potential rival to claim power in Europe. I have almost no evidence to support this claim and intend to write a best selling novel about it. The Church and historians with poor eyesight, bad hair cuts and rumpled suits will be outraged. Good God, I have just described myself! Chaos ensues.
